To Enhance Their Knowledge, Competence, and Skills, PBI Lecturers Take Part in the ‘ELITE’ Program with Andy Cirocki from the University of York, England
On Friday, August 22, 2025, the English Language Education Department of UHN I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa organized a continuing professional development program for its lecturers under the theme ELITE (English Lecturers’ Initiative for Teaching Excellence). The program aimed to enhance the knowledge, competence, and pedagogical skills of PBI lecturers in the field of English language and pedagogy.
This year’s ELITE carried the topic “Autonomous Learning and Artificial Intelligence: Redefining Academic English Learning” and featured Andy Cirocki from the University of York, England, as the keynote speaker, recognized for his expertise in autonomous learning and AI. The event was attended not only by all PBI lecturers of UHN Sugriwa but also by representatives from the English Language Education Study Programs of Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar and Universitas Dwijendra Denpasar.
The program was conducted in an engaging and interactive manner. It was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Dharma Acarya, Dr. Ni Komang Sutriyanti, S.Ag., M.Pd., and concluded by the Head of the English Language Education Department, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Agung Wijaya Mahardika, S.Pd., M.Pd.
