Bangli (UHN Sugriwa) – In an effort to enhance academic quality and broaden the perspectives of both students and lecturers toward global developments in knowledge, the English Language Education Department, Faculty of Dharma Acarya, UHN I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa, held an International Guest Lecture on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Dharma Duta Faculty Hall, Bangli Campus.
The participants included students from the English Language Education Department as well as students from Mahamakut Buddhist University (MBU), Thailand. The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Dharma Acarya, Dr. I Made Wirahadi Kusuma, S.H., M.Pd.H.
The lecture featured Dr. Saengatit Thaimit, who delivered a presentation on the importance of sentence variety in writing, particularly in learning English as a foreign language, and emphasized the significance of understanding grammar rules as the foundation for constructing sentences in both speaking and writing. Additionally, Phramaha Wisak Choeichomsri, Office Director of Mahamakut Buddhist University, highlighted that learning activities should prioritize student engagement, while teachers must continually learn and deepen their knowledge in order to effectively guide their students.
This activity represents the implementation of a collaborative agreement between UHN Sugriwa and MBUISC, aimed at broadening the academic perspectives of both institutions’ academic communities and strengthening their academic quality.
Also present at the event were the Head of the Department, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Agung Wijaya Mahardika, S.Pd., M.Pd., the Secretary of the Department, Putu Santi Oktarina, M.Pd., along with all homebase lecturers of the English Language Education Department. The program concluded with the presentation of souvenirs and certificates to both guest speakers.
