Denpasar, October 3, 2025 – Digital literacy plays a crucial role in protecting women and children amid the rapid advancement of technology. This issue became the main focus of the KITA SETARA program broadcast on Pro 1 RRI Denpasar on Friday (October 3), featuring Putu Santi Oktarina, M.Pd., a lecturer from the Department of English Education, Hindu State University I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa Denpasar, as the guest speaker.
In the interactive dialogue, Putu Santi Oktarina explained that women and children are among the most vulnerable groups to various forms of digital-based violence, such as online harassment, cyber fraud, and misuse of personal data. According to her, strengthening digital literacy is a strategic step that needs to be taken as part of efforts to protect these vulnerable groups.
“Digital literacy is the ability to search for, access, understand, evaluate, and use information wisely in the digital space. This skill is essential, especially for women and children who often find themselves in vulnerable positions against online risks,” she said.
Through an open and educational dialogue, the KITA SETARA program initiated by RRI Denpasar aims to raise public awareness about equality issues while reinforcing the commitment to protect vulnerable groups.
